A repair saddle is welded over a damaged section of PE pipe to seal it, so the pipe does not have to be cut out and replaced. It is welded with an electrofusion control unit: scrape and clean the pipe, position the fitting, connect the cables, scan the barcode and start the cycle.
Available from Ø 40 to Ø 400 mm, PN 10-16. Material is PE 100 in SDR 11 (PN 16) or SDR 17 (PN 10), made to TS EN 1555-3 for gas and TS EN 12201-3 for water. The Dimensions & Codes tab lists every size with its product code.
- Mark inner/outer circles with the saddle on the weld point.
- Drill a Ø10 hole on the inner circle; cut it out with a jigsaw.
- Scrape between the circles; clean with alcohol (pipe + saddle).
- Fix the saddle aligned over the hole; tighten straps fully.
- Connect cables, scan barcode, weld.
- Keep straps on during cooling; the machine can weld another joint meanwhile.
