ABOUT THIS RANGE
Choosing a butt welding machine
A butt welding machine joins two PE or PP pipe ends face to face. It clamps and aligns the pipes, a trimmer planes both ends square, the heater plate brings them to welding temperature (around 220 °C for PE), and the hydraulic unit presses them together at a set pressure while the joint cools. Done to DVS 2207, a butt weld is the strongest point of the line.
We build two families. The AL series covers Ø 63 mm to Ø 1200 mm, with single-phase machines up to Ø 315 mm and three-phase models above that, and most sizes also come in a CNC version. The newer ALW A series is built on the same platform with an updated hydraulic unit and goes up to Ø 1600 mm. Every machine is made in Istanbul to TS ISO 12176-1.
On a CNC model the operator enters the pipe diameter and wall thickness and the controller works out heating, change-over and cooling times on its own. It keeps up to 500 welds in memory and produces an original report for each joint, which helps when the client or the utility asks for weld records.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What pipe sizes do your butt welding machines cover?
From Ø 63 mm up to Ø 1600 mm across the AL and ALW series. The smallest machines take Ø 63–160 mm pipe; the ALW 1600A welds Ø 1000–1600 mm.
Can the same machine weld PE and PP pipe?
Yes. Our butt fusion machines weld both PE and PP pipe. Set the heater temperature and pressures for the material you are welding.
What does the CNC version add?
Automatic calculation of the welding parameters from pipe diameter and wall thickness, memory for 500 welds, an LED screen and an original weld report for every joint.
Which standards do the machines follow?
The machines are built to TS ISO 12176-1 and the welding procedure follows DVS 2207. Each machine page has the step-by-step procedure and a parameter table under Technical Guides.
