The ovality device clamps and rounds PE pipe ends that are out of round, so the pipe fits the fitting or the machine clamps before welding.

- Scrape or peel the welding zone and remove all dirt and oxide layer (RASPA scraper tools on pipe surfaces).
- Clamp and align the parts; use the ovality device to round PE pipes that are out of round before welding.
- Preheat the joint surfaces with hot air to the recommended welding temperature.
- Feed the PE 100 electrode (Ø 4 mm) into the manual extruder and extrude a continuous weld bead along the joint.
- Let the weld cool without stress before the assembly is loaded or tested.
